The representative of the Krasnoyarsk Railway became the best at the International Championship of High-Tech Professions “High-Tech: Skills of the Future – 2025” – he took first place in the “Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems” category.

Leading Technologist Using the track machine of station No. 197, Alexander Smertin flawlessly completed the competition tasks for controlling a drone: flying along the route, as well as in a confined space, and installing attachments.

He acquired the skill of controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the highway in the process of performing a production task – monitoring compliance with track overhaul technologiescollecting photo and video material for additional assessment of the quality of the repaired canvas.

Please note that currently operating aviation unmanned systems is part of the technological processes used at Krasnian Railways for infrastructure inspection. Drones help railway workers monitor its current condition and survey areas for future construction.

UAVs allow you to conduct aerial photography and create 3D models of engineering structures or terrain areas, in order to see and predict with high accuracy any changes that could affect traffic safety. Quadcopters are also used to monitor flood conditions from the air, to monitor the water level in the rivers that the highway crosses, and to help assess the situation in hard-to-reach avalanche-prone areas in the Eastern Sayan Mountains.

Operation aviation unmanned systems carried out on the Krasnoyarsk Railway as part of digitalization processes, which are currently being actively implemented in various areas of activity of the Russian Railways holding company.
