The body of a 57-year-old shepherd was found on Wednesday, November 26, near a farm in Constanța county. Within ten minutes of starting the search, the police from Medgidia also found the suspect.

The police officers from Medgidia were informed, on Wednesday, about the fact that the body of a person was found in the premises of a farm in the outskirts of the town of Cuza Vodă, writes News.ro.
“It was established that the victim was performing shepherd duties at that farm. Analyzing the context and preliminary data, the checks focused on a potential suspect from the victim's entourage, namely a co-worker.
In order to detect him, road filters and search devices were promptly established. Thus, in approximately 10 minutes from the start of the search, the police managed to track down the 79-year-old man, in the municipality of Medgidia, while he was traveling with a passenger minibus“, the IPJ Constanţa representatives transmitted on Wednesday evening.
They added that several pieces of evidence were discovered in the man's luggage, including a knife that there are indications of having been used in the commission of the crime.
“The case was taken over by the police of the Criminal Investigation Service, under the coordination of the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanţa Court, and from the first investigations it emerged that, against the background of a spontaneous conflict, the 79-year-old man allegedly inflicted on the victim several blows with a cutting-stabbing objectcausing his death“, mentioned the quoted source.
The lifeless body of the victim was transported to a medical unit for the necropsy. The 79-year-old man was detained for 24 hours and will be presented to the court with a proposal for preventive arrest.
