Andrei Nicolescu, the president of the Dinamo Bucharest club, announced that Alexandru Musi will be absent between 4 and 6 weeks, due to the alleged problems in the training camp of the Romanian U21 national team.

Accused that the staff of the national team would have ignored the pain reported by Musi, FRF explained three days ago that the medical tests he underwent did not indicate any problem.

Alexandru Musi will miss 4-6 weeks

“There is no exchange of words. We have decided that it is better for everyone to have this discussion in private. We have come to meet this (no of the statement issued by the FRF) and will have an official meeting to discuss these details.

It is certain that Musi is OUT between 4 and 6 weeks due to a blood cyst and a muscle tear, which occurred in the training camp of the national team”, said Nicolescu, according to digisport.ro.

Arriving at Dinamo in the summer, from rival FCSB, Musi scored 5 goals and delivered 3 decisive assists in 17 games played in the red-white shirt.

Until the end of the year, the team coached by Zeljko Kopic has scheduled matches against Oțelul Galați (SuperLiga), Farul Constanța (Romanian Cup), FCSB, Metaloglobus and UTA Arad (all in the championship).

What FRF wrote about the medical situation of Alexandru Musi:

  • The player has complained of medical problems since the reunion of the team, which is why he was subjected to three medical checks, without any injury being confirmed;
  • Until the day before leaving for Finland, Musi trained normally with the rest of the team. A day before departure, the player complained of discomfort, which is why he underwent an ultrasound scan and underwent a specific treatment. Investigations revealed no medical problems;
  • As a precaution, on Wednesday morning, before the trip, the player did not participate in the training, continuing the treatment. Arriving in Finland, he did not carry out the official training, being looked after and constantly monitored by the medical staff.
  • During his stay in Finland, until his return to the country, the player complained of a state of loading, which is why he followed a treatment program with infiltrations, under the supervision of the medical team;
  • After returning to Romania, the player trained normally, without alleging problems in training. He carried out further investigations and continued the treatment, and the results were still within normal limits, with no evidence of any injury;
  • Later, he participated in official training. However, during the evening, at the hotel, the player informed the staff that he did not feel able to perform, stating that he felt discomfort again;
  • All medical information confirms the above.
