Both retail sales and industrial production exceeded analyst forecasts; when it comes to the pace of development, Poland is ahead of all other large European economies – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Tuesday, commenting on the data of the Central Statistical Office.


On Tuesday, the Central Statistical Office reported that retail sales at constant prices in October 2025 increased by 5.4%. on an annual basis, and on a monthly basis it increased by 6.7%. Retail sales at current prices increased by 5.5% last month. on an annual basis. On Monday, the Central Statistical Office reported that industrial production in October increased by 3.2%. on an annual basis, and compared to the previous month it increased by 5.4%.
“Both retail sales and industrial production exceeded (by a lot!) analysts' predictions. When it comes to the pace of development, Poland is ahead of all other large European economies! Whether someone likes it or not – we are the best. We do, we don't talk,” wrote Tusk on the X platform. (PAP)
