According to RMF FM, the employer's current actions are said to violate the agreement negotiated at the end of last year.
Silesia Mine. Agreement after the underground protest
Those arrangements were the result of an eight-day underground strike. The miners then agreed to end the action in exchange for promises regarding protection packages and job protection. One of the key demands was to provide the Silesia crew with the same social solutions as employees of state-owned mines.
The problem is that to date, an appropriate amendment to the Act that would implement these guarantees has not been passed. According to trade unionists, the current termination notices are not only contrary to the spirit of the agreement, but even constitute “retaliation for the December protest.”.

Trade unions are waiting for the reaction of the mine management
For now, there is no official response from the mine's management to the demands of the public. However, trade unionists emphasize that the situation is so serious that without the dismissals being withdrawn, the conflict may quickly escalate.
A few days ago, the crew's representatives also asked the deputy minister of energy responsible for mining, Marian Zmarzły, to intervene. A meeting on this matter will probably be held in about two weeks. Until then, a strike alert will be in effect in Silesia, and the atmosphere at the plant remains tense.
