How much does a stewardess of LOT and other airlines earn? Here are the specific rates

The job of a stewardess is more than just serving passengers on board the plane. It is a profession that requires full commitment, impeccable personal culture and the ability to cope with stressful and emergency situations.
Cabin crew must be prepared for long working hours, time zone differences and the need to make quick decisions in crisis situations.
Do you dream of working in an airline? Here are the basic requirements you must meet to become a cabin crew member:
— Age: The minimum age is usually 18, although some airlines, such as Emirates, require you to be 21.
— Education: At least a high school education is required, but sometimes higher education is preferred
— Knowledge of foreign languages: Knowledge of English is essential as it is the main language of international aviation. Additional languages such as German, French or Italian may increase your chances of employment.
— Physical condition and height: Some airlines (e.g. LOT) have no height requirements. Others impose certain restrictions and candidates must meet certain height requirements (usually 160-170 cm for women and 170-180 cm for men). At Emirates, staff must be able to reach a minimum height of 212 cm (to the luggage compartments). Candidates must also be in good physical condition.
The airline recruitment process is demanding. It may include, among others: job interviews in English or role-playing situational scenarios (e.g. reacting to difficult situations with passengers or emergencies).

How much does a stewardess earn? Earnings at LOT, Ryanair, Emirates
“The salary of a stewardess/steward is the sum of the base, bonuses and allowances, which together make up a monthly remuneration of approximately PLN 6,000 net on average,” writes the website saleshr.pl and provides the following amounts:
— LOT Polish Airlines — approximately PLN 6,000 net per month
— Ryanair — approximately EUR 2,000 net per month
— Emirates — approximately PLN 10,000 net per month
Salary in this industry depends on many factors, such as experience, number of hours worked, length of routes and size of the airline.
In turn, according to data from salary.pl, the median earnings stewardesses in passenger aviation totals PLN 7,810 gross, which means PLN 5,654 net. The median means that half of people in such a position earn less and half more.
Salary 25 percent stewardesses and stewards who earn the most exceeds PLN 8,560 gross. In turn, 25 percent those earning the least receive a salary below PLN 5,580 gross.

How much does an Emirates stewardess earn?
Emirates provides sample amounts on its website. The remuneration consists of three components: basic salary, hourly rate for flights and allowances for meals abroad. This is the starting monthly salary: Grade II (Economy Class):
— Base: 4,980 dirhams (AED) / per month
— Hourly rate for flights: 69.6 dirhams (AED) / per hour with an average of 80-100 hours per month
— Average monthly salary: 11,244 dirhams (AED) / per month (equivalent to approx. PLN 11,000 at the current exchange rate)
Accommodation allowances are added to the salary in the following month. Hotel accommodation and transport to the airport and back are provided by the company.

Flight attendant at LOT – requirements
— Minimum secondary education with high school diploma;
— Fluent communication in Polish;
— Fluent communication in English, minimum B2 level;
– Experience in customer service;
— The ability to swim;
— High personal culture;
— Communication and ease of establishing contacts;
— Ability to build relationships and work in a team;
— Availability;
– Positive and enthusiastic attitude;
— Knowledge of additional languages such as Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese will be a great advantage.
LOT has no requirements regarding the height of candidates. “Height is not a limitation. Everyone is welcome!” — we read on the carrier's website. What about tattoos? A problem during the recruitment process may be those that cannot be covered with a uniform.
Emirates Flight Attendant – Requirements
To become an Emirates cabin crew member, you must meet the following requirements:
— Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English (knowledge of other languages will be an additional advantage);
— Ability to work in a team;
— Be at least 160 cm tall and reach a height of 212 cm;
— Meet the United Arab Emirates visa requirements for employment;
— Be at least 21 years old;
— Have At least one year of experience in the hotel industry or customer service;
— At least secondary education;
– No visible tattoos on Emirates cabin crew uniform.
The work of a stewardess is not only about traveling
Although the profession of a stewardess is often associated with prestige and the opportunity to explore the world, the reality can be more demanding. Cabin crew must cope with pressure, fatigue and the responsibility for passenger safety, and quick decision-making and stress tolerance are key.
Stewardesses and stewards are trained to save lives, control emergency situations and de-escalate conflicts. This is a job that requires not only interpersonal skills, but also a great deal of empathy and the ability to work under pressure.
