“This is not the final offer”

“No, this is not my final offer,” Trump said. – Ukraine's war with Russia should never have happened. If I had been president (then), this would never have happened. We're trying to end this. We have to end this one way or another, he added.

What if Kyiv refuses on Thursday?

When asked by CNN about thiswhat will happen if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not accept the plan by Thursdayhe replied: – Then he can continue to fight as much as he wants.

A day earlier, in an interview with Fox News, Trump confirmed reports that he had given Ukraine until Thursday to agree to the plan proposed by the Americans to end the war in Ukraine.

That day, he also said that the Ukrainian president must “like” the peace plan he presented, or he should keep fighting. Trump added that Ukraine “has no cards.”

Trump commented on Zelensky's Friday speech in this way, stating that Ukraine has a choice between losing a key partner or losing its dignity.

The draft 28-point peace plan discussed by the media includes, among others: handing over the territories occupied by Ukraine in Donbas to Russia, limiting the size of its army, as well as US security guarantees for Ukraine. The plan also mentions the need to station Western fighters in Poland.
