Minister Dariusz Klimczak is introducing changes for drivers transporting fuel

Minister Dariusz Klimczak decided on temporary derogations for drivers carrying out domestic fuel transport. This action is a response to the request of the Minister of Energy, Miłosz Motyka, and the demands of the fuel industry itself.
“Due to the situation on the fuel market, the Minister of Infrastructure, Dariusz Klimczak, at my request, introduced temporary derogations for drivers carrying out domestic fuel transport,” the head of the Ministry of Energy said on Platform X.
As Motyka added, this is to be a response to the industry's demands, which will “strengthen logistics and improve continuity of supplies.”

Changes in the fuel transport system. Response to industry demands
The Ministry of Infrastructure explained in a statement that the derogations apply to some regulations regarding driving time, breaks and rest periods. The aim is to improve the transport of fuels used to power vehicles.
“Temporary derogations are of a preventive nature and apply only to domestic road transport of fuels used to power motor vehicles. The derogations apply from March 6 to April 2, 2026.” – said the ministry.
As he added, it was possible to extend the working time of tanker drivers due to the “dynamic situation on the fuel market caused by the conflict in the Middle East”. The goal is to maintain the continuity of the fuel supply chain.
