The pediatrician faces 6 years in a general regime colony in the case of spreading fake news about the Russian Armed Forces
A criminal case was opened against Nadezhda Buyanova after a statement from a woman who complained that the doctor insulted the father of her child who died in the Northern Military District. After this, Buyanova was fired from the hospital, searched and placed in a pre-trial detention center. However, the court declared the dismissal illegal.
The woman does not admit guilt – Buyanova denies that she uttered insulting words against the deceased military man and states that she was slandered. The audio recording of the court reception was not provided.
Initially, Buyanova was accused of publicly disseminating deliberately false information about the RF Armed Forces, but the final charge included the motive of racial, national or political hatred.
