The Americans want to impose scandalous conditions on Ukraine. This is dangerous for Poland

One of the elements of the agreement will be Ukraine's withdrawal from the not yet occupied parts of Donbas. This means the loss of fortifications that have been built over the years and de facto means that if the Russians broke the agreement and attacked again, the Ukrainians would be defenseless.
An even worse point of the plan is the assumption of reductions [według niektórych doniesień docelowo nawet o połowę] Ukrainian armed forces. Such a reduction, unless it is accompanied by the introduction of a NATO military contingent to Ukraine, which seems impossible in the context of American concessions, or a fundamental reduction of the Russian army [o czym też niczego nie słychać] means that in a scenario in which Vladimir Putin decided to start another war with Ukraine, Kiev would be completely defenseless.
The point is that all this is crucial for Poland.

Donald Trump's plan gives Russians a chance to attack more countries
The Ukrainian army is currently not only stopping the Russians from occupying Ukraine, but is also engaging such significant forces that the Russians would not be able to attack either the Baltic states or Poland today. Trump's plan means that the Russians would have this opportunity. The US peace plan is outrageous, harmful and, to put it bluntly, stupid.
A Polish politician who supported this plan would have to be either completely irresponsible or blinded by ideological admiration for Trump.
Claiming that Donald Trump is a good president from our point of view is no longer an expression of extravagance, but of downright stupidity. Unfortunately, this is exactly what most Law and Justice politicians think, and, as everything indicates, so does President Karol Nawrocki.

The Polish right wing is now colliding with the reality that it has tried to ignore for a very long time.
What adds flavor to the whole matter is that information about the American peace plan appears less than 24 hours after the world was informed that the United States wants, for the first time in history, the commander of NATO forces in Europe not to be an American, but a German general.
Lessons for the Polish right wing
PiS politicians and experts and publicists associated with them have often dreamed up visions of Poland replacing Germany on the American map of interests. It was a complete illusion from start to finish.
The final step in our country replacing Germany on the American map of interests is to be the Americans handing over the leadership of NATO in Europe to the Federal Republic.
Law and Justice politicians, let us add to be fair, have made significant contributions to strengthening our security. Such an undoubted investment is the large purchases of weapons, but also their deliveries to Ukraine.
The point is that these achievements, like everything in politics and diplomacy, are now only respectable, but still only a memory. Today, the Polish right must finally say goodbye to its intellectual aberration, which is admiration for Trump and unrestrained assertiveness, but hatred towards our European partners.
If the Polish right wing does not prove capable of reflection and continues to replace the real assessment of reality with phantasmagorias detached from any realities, its past achievements will in no way be able to change the fact that it would be better for it never to engage in foreign policy again.
