“Do you know what the Prime Minister of Hungary did at nea Imi's funeral?”

Tudorel Stoica, the former great midfielder of Stella, the captain of the team that won the European Champions Cup in 1986, was present at the launch Ladislau Boloni's filmhis former teammate, and voiced his displeasure with how the former European champions are being treated.
Tudorel Stoica was disappointed that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan did not accept the invitation and was not present at the launch of Ladislau Boloni's film. The event took place on Wednesday evening, at Mall Băneasa, in the Capital.
Speaking about the film, Stoica had only words of praise for Boloni, one of the greatest players and coaches in the history of Romania.
VIDEO. Tudorel Stoica: “Loti was a special player and he is an extraordinary man”
“The film was extraordinary about the life of a special player and colleague. The whole film moved me, I saw his evolution as a man, a sportsman. We are glad that we were able to participate in the making of this film.
We hope it will be very successful, it deserves it. Loti, as I said before, was a special player and he is an extraordinary man”, declared Tudorel Stoica, in the first phase.
Tudorel Stoica: “There is no appreciation in Romania for what happened. The Prime Minister of Hungary, who was in America, called and ordered a representative of the Hungarian Government to come”
Asked if his generation deserved more, Tudorel Stoica then raged and gave an example from the funeral of Emeric Ienei, the great former coach of Stella who died on November 5, at 88 years old.
“What can I tell you that now, when I went to nea Imi's funeral, the Prime Minister of Hungary, who was in America, called and ordered a representative of the Hungarian Government to come. If he was not away in America, he would come personally.
A representative of the Hungarian Government came, an extraordinary thing. No one came here, unfortunately. This is how people who deserve to be treated better are treated. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to talk and it's pointless, because nothing will change.
There is no appreciation in Romania for what happened. What Steaua '86 achieved, not only winning the Champions Cup, but also winning the European Super Cup, had another semi-final and a final…
This happened only with Romanian players. There is much to be said about what should be done for Romanian athletes and for those who spent their youth in training camps and very cold weather. This is Romania and I can't say more”, said Tudorel Stoica.
