USSR-era ammunition is killing Russian military personnel in the Kherson region – “Atesh”

According to partisans from the 11th Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, three servicemen were working on rigging a drone with explosives when a sudden explosion occurred.

“The reason is negligence and expired components from the times of the Soviet Union. The Russian army ignores the threat by using expired ammunition,” the partisans report.

As a result, two soldiers died on the spot. The third, who received severe burns, was hospitalized in a medical facility.

“Atesh” appealed to the Russian military not to put themselves at risk by following orders, and emphasized that the command views personnel as “consumables,” and the consequences of the tragedies fall on the families of the victims.
