No Fluff Jobs focuses on AI. New tools are changing the rules of recruitment

— Two charts perfectly show the scale of the change. Until ChatGPT came along, the S&P 500 index's growth was in line with open hiring numbers – the faster companies grew, the more they hired. Today, the index is growing and job offers are decreasing – explains Tomasz Bujok, CEO at No Fluff Jobs.
The effects of this change can be seen not only in statistics, but also in the everyday lives of millions of employees. Over the last two years, the IT industry has gone through mass layoffs – from global technology giants to Polish companies. At the same time, companies are investing in AI tools that allow them to increase productivity without increasing employment – This is a paradigm shift. The question is no longer “who to hire”, but “what tools to use to increase efficiency” – adds the expert.

Poles don't feel pressure
Only 38 percent Poles feel the need to learn how to work with artificial intelligence – according to the “Skills at work” study conducted by No Fluff Jobs. Moreover, 31 percent do not see such a need, and another 31 percent has no opinion on this matter.
— That's a low percentage, in my opinion. The pressure to learn increases with education but decreases with age. In IT, adoption is much higher – 84%. specialists use some AI tool, says Tomasz Bujok.
He adds that the biggest challenge remains implementation in companies, where every change is met with natural resistance, especially when employees subconsciously feel that the tools may replace them in the future.

300 CVs a day and chaos in recruitment
Today, the recruitment market is facing new phenomena. Candidates are massively using generative AI to write applications and automate their submission. Companies are receiving more and more applications with reduced HR departments.
— Artificial intelligence creates a CV perfectly matched to the advertisement. Sometimes it's too perfect – an image of a candidate is created that does not actually exist, and the charm is broken during the first interview – says Tomasz Bujok. — He is also famous company case from the security industry, which conducted most of the recruitment process with an AI bot pretending to be a candidate.
Interestingly, according to the No Fluff Jobs “Skills in the Labor Market” report, only six percent candidates are admitted to using AI tools during a job interview or when performing recruitment tasks. At the same time, as many as 36 percent HR specialists confirm that they have encountered such a situation, and another 31 percent had similar suspicions.
Recent years have seen major layoffs in IT, increasing competition while companies cut recruitment budgets. The answer is automatic CV screening tools.
Game-changing tools
No Fluff Jobs, a portal specializing in IT offers that has been operating for 11 years, has implemented several AI solutions to improve recruitment.
The AI assistant generates structured announcements in three minutes instead of 15, while learning the specifics of the company. CV Scoring analyzes the candidate's match to the job offer and sorts applications by percentage of the score. — The recruiter still has access to all CVs and can review them, but they are arranged in an order that speeds up the analysis of the top 10-20 percent. candidates – explains Tomasz Bujok.
The most revolutionary tool is AI Screening. The candidate clicks on the link at any time and conducts a 15-minute interview conversation with virtual assistant Alicja which asks questions specified by the employer – about availability, location, financial expectations or preferences for remote work.
The interview can be interrupted and recorded again, giving the candidate control over the message. After two or three days, the recruiter has a ready table with all candidates' responses, eliminating weeks of telephone scheduling. – This shortens the recruitment process by 70-80%. – adds Tomasz Bujok.

The impact of AI on the employer's image
Candidates' biggest fear? – That AI will make the decision and automatically reject the application – admits Tomasz Bujok. – But no response to the application whatsoever on the part of employers is now so common that AI may paradoxically improve the situation.
In the No Fluff Jobs system the applicant receives notifications about the recruiter's activities: opening the CV, viewing the candidate's profile. – A bit like WhatsApp – you can see that someone has read the message. Given today's scale of ghosting in recruitment, this is a significant improvement. Companies are often unable to answer even 95%. application – adds the expert.
What's next for the labor market?
— We are facing a transition period. It is already clear that the number of new jobs is not increasing quickly. – says Tomasz Bujok. Unemployment may increase temporarily. — Just as the invention of the calculator made people stop adding in bars, and the appearance of Excel changed the way we counted, so now AI will force us to learn new skills.
Some tasks will simply die out, but we will have to learn others. People who learn to use artificial intelligence well will gain an advantage, the expert concludes.
