An executive from a pharmaceutical company fainted in the Oval Office of the White House on Thursday, while President Donald Trump was announcing an agreement with drug manufacturers to reduce the price of weight loss drugs, reports EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

The executive was identified by Fox News as Gordon Findlay of the biologics company Novo Nordisk.

He was standing near President Trump's desk, but fell suddenly as David Ricks, chief executive of Eli Lilly, was talking about a weight-loss drug deal. Ricks interrupted his speech as the man fell, while several people in the room rushed to help him.

Trump got up from his desk and turned to the man lying on the floor before the live broadcast was interrupted.

Later, when the press conference was resumed, Trump explained that “one of the representatives of the companies was slightly dizzy”, but that in the meantime he has recovered and is feeling well.

“The White House Medical Unit acted quickly and the gentleman is fine,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified after the incident.
