The scale of the operation is still being discussed, but the final decision on the start of the mission has not yet been made, the material says.

NBC News points out that so far, in the fight against drug trafficking, the US army has attacked ships that allegedly transported drugs from Venezuela, and a US mission to strike drug cartel targets in Mexico would open a “new front” in Washington politics.
Washington allegedly intends to use drones to strike targets of drug traffickers in Mexico.
Journalist sources emphasize that the planned American mission in Mexico, unlike the mission related to Venezuela, is not aimed at undermining the country's government.
