Immediately after the final whistle of the game on Sunday evening, in Bănie, between Craiova and Rapidfinished with a score of 2-2, Cornel Frăsineanu (49 years old), the former defender of both teams, made an interesting statement, live on the GSP Live Special show, moderated by Mihai Mironică.
The derby of the 15th stage of the Superliga, between Rapid Bucharest and Universitatea Craiova, ended in a draw, 2-2, after a dramatic ending. The Oltenians snatched a point in the 90th + 10th minute, from a penalty dictated with the help of the VAR. Rapid is the provisional leader, at least until FC Botoșani plays, while Craiova is in 3rd place, 3 points behind.
Cornel Frasineanuthe former left back from FC Universitatea Craiova (disaffiliated team), Rapid and Dinamo, surprised at the end, when he said that if Rădoi's team does not win the title this season, then he would like it to be won by… FC Botosani, the revelation of this season, a team that has a good chance of finishing first in the regular season round.
Asked if he would be happy to take it Rapid the title if Craiova won't do it, especially since he also wore the Giulești jersey as a player, Frasineanu answered. “I can't say now that it would be good for me if Rapid takes the title. They are fighting… If Craiova doesn't take it, maybe Botoșani takes it. What, haven't I seen any more surprises? I'd be happy if Craiova doesn't take it, Botoșani takes it”, he said on the GSP Live Special.
Cornel Frasineanu criticizes the game in the second half: “Rădoi made the changes too late”
Also at GSP Live Special, Frasineanu analyzed the game and criticized Craiova's game in the second half, but also some decisions made by Mirel Rădoi.
“I liked the University in the first half, but in the second half it slowed down. It played a weaker game than in the first half.
It was a big blunder by the goalkeeper in the goal through which Rapid took the lead, but I think the draw suited both of them.
It seems to me that Radoi made the changes too late. It's like I can't physically in the second half, it cuts from one minute to the next. I don't know what happens to them.
Baiaram may have been taken off due to fatigue, but it was clear that they fell physically, including with the pressing up. The second half was weak, I didn't like them at all”, said Frasineanu, on GSP Live Special.
The former defender also spoke about the gesture of Mirel Rădoi, who left the bench before the end
“Maybe he's like Simeone, he also leaves the bench. It's his problem if he went to the dressing room before the penalty was taken,” he added.
“I've always noticed that the fast players come after the team. They encourage you as a player. When you see 100, 200 or even 1,000 people chanting, you hear them differently. It motivates you enormously,” continued Frasineanu.
