Emilian Dolha (45 years old), former Rapid and Dinamo goalkeeper, recalled an episode with his former colleague from Wisla Krakow, Jakub “Kuba” Błaszczykowski (39 years old), the second most selected player in the history of Poland, after Robert Lewandowski.

The incident narrated by the former Romanian international is from the time when he was a goalkeeper coach at Sepsi and he met Błaszczykowski again after about 20 years.

Roland Niczuly asked Dolha to convince the two-time champion with Borussia Dortmund to take a picture with him, a request accepted by the Pole.

Emilian Dolha, impressed by Blaszczykowski's gesture: “You couldn't be mad at him”

“We were teammates at Wisla in 2006. Kuba transferred to Dortmund then. 15-20 years passed and I was with Sepsi in the training camp in Antalya. He was at Wisla, still playing football then.

It's a story from 2019 or 2020, goalkeeper Niczuly asked me to tell Kuba to take a picture with him.

Initially, I met with those from Wisla, there were other people who were in the club and in my time, measurers, even players, there were about five or six people.

Finally, I was in a large hallway, there were many people, but Kuba saw me, I didn't see him. He comes to me and says: «Kurva!». That's kind of “to hell” in their language. He sees me and hugs me. I was surprised, everyone knows who Kuba is, he didn't even know me.

He hugged me, I talked to him, we exchanged a few words. Then Niczuly saw me and asked to take a picture with him. In the following days, we met for dinner and the man from the table got up, wiped his mouth and came to take a picture with Niczuly.

He could tell he was eating and you couldn't be mad at the man, but what he did impressed me! I appreciated the common sense. I don't know if it was like that towards me or it's always like that, but it impressed me”, testified Emilian Dolha, according to sport.ro.
