Mikhail Efremov was released from the Belgorod colony IK-4. He is already on his way to Moscow. According to the lawyer, Efremov was taken out secretly to avoid the crowd of journalists.
The accident for which the actor was convicted occurred on June 8, 2020 in Moscow: Efremov drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a car, the driver of which died. Efremov was sentenced to eight years, later the term was reduced to 7.5, followed by parole. So the actor spent four years in prison.
During this time, he managed to work in the sewing workshop of the colony, participated in theatrical performances for prisoners, and also suffered several exacerbations of chronic diseases, including heart problems.
