Two new bus and trolley lines and additions to others on the occasion of the “Illumination”. Official announcement given by CTP
The Christians of Transylvania and Banat prepare in a special way for “Lumination”, the day dedicated to all the saints, but also to the commemoration of the dead. On November 1, “Lumination”, people go with flowers and candles to the graves of relatives and close ones, and the crowd is huge. In Cluj-Napoca, CTP Cluj specially establishes two public transport lines for this occasion, which will be operational for 3 days.
The Cluj Public Transport Company has issued a press release announcing the establishment of two new transport lines, which will be operational between October 31 and November 2, respectively the addition of public transport on other lines
“To facilitate the movement of Cluj citizens to and from the cemeteries in the city, in order to commemorate their loved ones, Cluj-Napoca City Hall and CTP Cluj-Napoca announce the establishment of two new transport lines, which will be operational between October 31 and November 2.
The routes of the 2 lines will be: L8S ➡ Constantin Prezan station (Mărăști map) – Moș Ion Roată cemetery (Someșeni map). L39S ➡ Piața Mihai Viteazul Est station (IP Voitești str.) – Pomet cemetery (Valea Chintăului). The special runs will have hourly departures, between 10:00 and 20:00.
Also, on November 1st, public transport will be added on the following lines: buses: 24B, 31, 35 and 43B and trolleybuses: 6 and 25.
