Two appointments approved in the National Political Bureau of PNL: who will lead ARICE and ANOFM

The National Political Bureau of the National Liberal Party met on Monday, January 19, 2026, in the first meeting of this year, to discuss the main topics on the government's agenda. At the end of the meeting, BPN members approved two proposals for filling public positions subordinated to the Government.

Thus, Daniel Constantin was validated by the PNL leadership for the position of president of the Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE), an institution subordinate to the Government of Romania, with a role in attracting foreign investments and promoting Romanian exports.
At the same time, the liberals approved the appointment of Adrian Zvîncă for the position of president of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), an institution that operates under the authority of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity.
The BPN meeting took place in the context in which the Prime Minister and President of the PNL, Ilie Bolojan, presented to his colleagues the reform package of the central and local public administration, as well as the calendar for the adoption of the state budget for the year 2026. The Prime Minister informed the party leadership that the Government intends to undertake its responsibility in Parliament, on January 29, both on the administrative reform project and on a package of measures for economic recovery.
Regarding the state budget, Ilie Bolojan stated that its adoption is planned for the second half of February, one of the major objectives of the Government in 2026 being the acceleration of the absorption of funds from the PNRR.
Also, the PNL leader announced the creation of a working group to manage the dialogue between the central and local administrations, in the context of the concerns expressed by local authorities regarding budgets and financial balancing mechanisms.
