Deputy George Simion, the leader of the AUR, sent a video message on Tuesday evening in which he criticizes the interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, whom he accuses of being an “embarrassment who has executed everything he was given throughout his “career”.
The reaction of the AUR leader comes in the context in which his counterpart from the PSD asked Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to withdraw the proposal to appoint Oana Gheorghiu, co-founder of the Donate Viață Association, to the position of Deputy Prime Minister. The proposal was submitted to President Nicușor Dan on Tuesday.
“When we thought that it couldn't be more embarrassing and more controlled, more systematic, and more secure than Marcel Ciolacu, here Sorin Grindeanu appeared, this embarrassing person who executed everything he was given throughout his “career” and now he is bothered by Oana Gheorghiu, the girl with “Dăruieşte Viață”, that he should somehow not occupy the position of deputy prime minister, that he endangers relations with the United States”, declared George Simion in a message on TikTok.
The AUR leader claims that “relations with the United States, first of all, are endangered by Mr. Sorin Grindeanu, who participated in the cancellation of the 2024 presidential elections”.
“Sorin, be good! You have a criminal there, in the position of deputy prime minister, his name is Marian Neacșu. Yes, Sorine? Is this your PSD? Far be it from me to love those who do not have the United States or Donald Trump in their hearts, but what is right is right – and I am a right person. Sorin Grindeanu and this PSD deserve to disappear, they deserve to be taxed by the Romanians for these idiots. Some of us are “Trumpists”, as we at AUR are, others are not “Trumpists” and have criticized Donald Trump throughout time”, continued George Simion.
He stated that he does not support Oana Gheorghiu.
“It would be very good if those who have dignity would remind Sorin Grindeanu about the blocks he took as bribes and about the Nordis trips and if those in the coalition who support Oana Gheorghiu would say, it's not my case, it's all about this swindler, this criminal named Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the coalition,” concluded George Simion.
