With Christmas and Black Friday approaching, the online sales giant announced a major recruitment drive in Poland. Amazon plans to employ as many as 8,500 people. The working conditions offered by the company, including competitive remuneration and additional benefits, may influence the labor market and constitute an important point of reference for other employers.

According to StrefaBiznesu.pl, employees are mainly sought for temporary positions in e-commerce logistics centers. Employed people can count on an attractive salary of up to PLN 39.1 gross per hour.
Amazon also tempts with additional benefits, such as a one-time bonus of PLN 2,000 for working during the peak season. Recruitment will cover all distribution centers in Poland, with the largest number of jobs in Sady near Poznań, Bielany Wrocławskie and Silesia.
Employees also have access to private medical care, life insurance, free transport on selected routes, discounts on lunches and training programs.

The upcoming pre-Christmas period is a time of increased trade traffic, which generates greater demand for employees, especially temporary ones. Amazon, as one of the largest players on the e-commerce market, plays a key role in shaping employment trends in Poland.

“People who have no previous experience in e-commerce logistics can apply to work in our company through a temporary employment agency. New employees will receive full access to a wide training offer and implementation support from the first day of work,” said Sławomir Płonka, regional director for Amazon operations in Central and Eastern Europe, quoted by StrefaBiznesu.pl.
Recruitment covers all 11 Amazon logistics centers in Poland. The company offers the most jobs in Sady near Poznań (2,300 vacancies), Bielany Wrocławskie (over 2,500 positions) and in Sosnowiec, Gliwice and Gorzyczki (over 2,600 positions in total).
