In Krasnoyarsk, a court sentenced a 65-year-old man who was involved in the distribution of potent substances. This was reported to the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
The court found that in the period from 2024 to 2025, an elderly man, by agreement with other persons, purchased two batches of the potent substance “pregabalin” with a total weight of over 944 grams for the purpose of its further sale in the region by packaging it into smaller batches and creating hiding places.
The accused received the potent substance at the post office at the railway station through correspondence. The activities of the attacker were stopped by law enforcement officers, the prohibited substance was withdrawn from illegal circulation.
A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 3 of Art. 234 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal trafficking of potent substances for sales purposes).
The Zheleznodorozhny district of Krasnoyarsk sentenced the pensioner to a combination of crimes in the form of 4 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony.
