The fight for the Capital City Hall began to become a subject of dispute in the coalition, even if the date of the local elections in Bucharest has not yet been decided by the Government, in the absence of an agreement between the four governing parties. Will the interim mayor of the Capital Stelian Bujduveanu be one of the candidates? The answer, in a live interview, in the HotNews studio, on Thursday, from 11.00.

  • The HotSpot political podcast is made by journalist Laurenţiu Ungureanu, it is broadcast live and can be watched on the HotNews.ro website, on YouTube or on Facebook.

“I think I have this right to think that I could also be a full mayor at the level of the Bucharest municipality”, recently declared on Digi24, the interim mayor Stelian Bujduveanu. In the interviews he gave recently, he refused to say whether he wants to run for local elections.

The liberal Stelian Bujduveanu is in his third term as a councilor in the Bucharest City Hall, he held the position of deputy mayor, and after the presidential elections, he took over the interim position that Nicusor Dan left. From that moment, his public communication strategy changed, and he appeared several times on television shows, increased his appearances on social media and spoke more often about the achievements of the municipality.

Ciprian Ciucu expressed his desire to be the liberal candidate, and Cătălin Drula has already announced that he is the USR candidate. PSD has not yet designated a candidate for the local elections in Bucharest, but one of the old names is Daniel Băluţă. AUR did not communicate information about a potential candidate, but in last year's elections, the current deputy Mihai Enache ran for the party.

Is this the beginning of an election campaign that has not yet formally begun? Stelian Bujduveanu comes to the HotNews studio to talk about his perspectives on the elections in Bucharest and about the solutions he has for a city suffocated by traffic and real estate interests.
