Quick, sanctioned due to obscene gestures from the match with Farul

The unpleasant scene from the match Rapid Bucharest – lighthouse Constanța, contested in Giulești and won by the people of Bucharest with 3-1, had consequences for the host club. Giuleșteni were fined because of a child who entered the field and showed obscene signs.

The Romanian Football Federation decided to fine the Rapid Bucharest club with the amount of 10,000 lei (approximately 2,000 euros), after the incident caused by a small supporter of the team.

Near the end of the game, a small Rapid fan entered the field and crossed the lawn to the front of the sector occupied by Farul Constanța fans. Arriving in front of the visitors' gallery, he made obscene signs towards the “sailors” supporters, under the surprised looks of those in the stands.

His gesture was quickly noticed by the Giulești club officials, and Ionuț Voicu (41 years old), the team manager of Rapid, intervened immediately, leading the minor back to the stands.

The FRF fined the club, but without further sanctions

According to the announcement of the Disciplinary Commission of the FRF, Rapid was sanctioned based on art. 82.1 and 3.e, related to art. 83.7 of the Disciplinary Regulation, with a sports penalty of 10,000 lei.

The document does not mention any suspension or other disciplinary measure applied to the minor or his representatives.

Fast, in the fight for first place

After 12 stages, Rapid Bucharest occupies the 2nd place in the ranking, with 25 points, tied with the surprise leader FC Botoșani. On the other hand, Farul Constanța is in the play-out zone, with 15 points.

The white-cherries are now preparing for the derby with Dinamo Bucharest, scheduled for Sunday, October 19, from 20:30 at the National Arena. Farul will play on Friday, October 17, also from 8:30 p.m., at home, against the newly promoted FC Argeș.
