The US president was welcomed as a hero in the Israeli Knesser, where he received praise and thanks from the President of Amir Ohana and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to The Times of Israel.

Knesser President Amir Ohana said in Parliament on Monday that Donald Trump is a “colossus that will be consecrated in the pantheon of history”, declaring that the Jewish people will remember “over thousands of years.”

The White House leader was applauded by parliamentarians, who thanked them for the role played in support of Israel.

Reciting the blessing that is said at the sight of a king, Ohana was pleased for Trump for the visit to Israel and listed a series of achievements, from the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the movement of the US Embassy to this city, to the negotiation of Abraham agreements and the bombing of the Nuclear Sites during this summer.

“Mr. President, you are in front of the people of Israel not as another American president, but as a giant of Jewish history-one for which we have to look back, two and a half millennia in the dark of time, to find a parallel, in Cyrus the Great,” Ohana said, referring to an old Ret. The temple in Jerusalem.

“What the world needs now are not conciliators who feed the crocodile in the hope that the last ones will be eaten-as we recently saw at the UN General Assembly,” said Ohana, referring to the recent statements to recognize a Palestinian state.

“What the world needs now are more brave, determined, strong and daring leaders. The world needs more Trump,” he continues, declaring that “there was no one person on this planet who has done more than you to promote peace.”

Claiming that Trump, “more than any other person”, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, Ohana said that he and the president of the Chamber of Representatives, Mike Johnson, “will mobilize the presidents of parliaments around the world to support them” for 2026.

“America in the first place, but not America alone,” he said.

Passing to Hebrew, Ohana then praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He quoted the special envoy of the White House, Witkoff, who recently praised Netanyahu for making “very difficult decisions” and said that “we would not have reached this point if Prime Minister Netanyahu would not have acted as he did.”
