The first to die in a shootout in Makhachkala were two police officers – they were shot by militants with a machine gun. The third traffic policeman returned fire at the shooters and was wounded.
The policeman hid in a shelter, where his colleagues picked him up and handed him over to doctors. He later died in hospital from his injuries.
UPD. There were two attackers on police officers in Makhachkala, both were neutralized, the Dagestan Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
