Trump found the solution to pay the American soldiers during the US “Shutdown”: “I use my supreme commander”

The Trump administration said on Saturday that it will pay the soldiers during the closing of the federal government with reserved and development funds, reports Reuters.

“I use my authority, as a supreme commander, to order our war secretary, Pete Hegseth, to use all the funds available to pay our soldiers on October 15,” wrote President Donald Trump in a post on TRUTH Social.

Trump did not identify the financing sources or the total amount that will be used for the salaries of the military, and the White House did not respond to the requests for statements.

But a Pentagon official said that about $ 8 billion, initially designed to research, development, testing and evaluation, will be used to pay the army employees if the budget paralysis will continue after October 15th.

The confrontation of Republican-Democrats remains in the deadlock

Trump made the announcement on the 11th day of government closure, caused by a deadline for the democratic minority in Congress.

Trump's Republican Party controls the Chamber of Representatives and the Senate. But in order to obtain the 60 necessary votes in the Senate to adopt a draft law on expenses, Republicans must convince at least seven Democrats to support the measure.
