“It is a debate that started last week, it started to be as fair as possible, because you know that in Romania there was a referendum, with 300 parliamentarians, I bring that in a wish or to benefit from an electoral plus Traian Basescu, if we look back. To the Parliament, let's make decisions so quickly. said the interim president of the PSD, writes Agerpres.
Sorin Grindeanu mentioned that the project on reducing the number of parliamentarians now in debate does not take into account the 2009 referendum and that the arguments presented by the UDMR, who do not support the reduction of the number of parliamentarians, are solid.
“I did not understand very well. This project that is in debate now, submitted by two parliamentarians, does not even take into account the 2009 referendum, because then the referendum said that it must be a unicameral parliament. Here it is not said. It is a mixture of it, of which nobody understands. solid ”said Sorin Grindeanu.
In May, USR deputies Cristina Pruna and Claudiu Năsui announced that they have returned to the Parliament the draft law that provides for the reduction of the number of parliamentarians to 300.
Currently, the number of parliamentarians is 464.
The project is at the specialized commissions in the Senate.
