Three road policemen from Ştefăneşti, Botosani County, are investigated for several crimes, being suspected that they would not have concluded acts of finding offenses and contraventions committed by several drivers.

“On 09.10.2025, the police officers from the General Anticorruption Directorate – the Botoşani County Anti -corruption Service, at the delegation and under the coordination of the case prosecutor within the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Botosani Court, set up a mandate of domicile search at the domicile of a Police Agent – The road formation and three mandates to bring some suspects, police officers within the same inspectorate”, DGA said on Friday, in a press release.
According to investigators, between April and September 2025, as road policemen, they would not have concluded acts of finding offenses and contraventions committed by several drivers.
Also, one of the agents deals with the administration of a commercial company, regarding the preparation and signing of documents, negotiation of contracts, maintaining the assets from the patrimony of the company, the supply, as well as the transport of the goods from the activity object of the company, using personnel the trucks from its patrimony, for the purpose of obtaining profit.
“In this case, investigations are carried out in terms of committing offenses of abuse in service, using, in any way, directly or indirectly of information that is not intended for publicity, or allowing the access of unauthorized persons to this information, in order to obtain for themselves or for another money, goods or other undue benefits, the omission, the omission Incompatible with the function, attribution or assignment that a person fulfills or the conclusion of financial transactions, using the information obtained by virtue of his function, attribution or assignment, in order to obtain for himself or for another money, goods or other undue benefits ”, adds the DGA.
The case prosecutor ordered the criminal action and instituted the measure of judicial control regarding one of the police officers concerned.
