A prisoner from a Minusinsk prison came under investigation for extremist tattoos

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case was opened for propaganda of the AUE movement, banned in Russia. A convict serving a sentence in a Minusinsk prison was under investigation.

The press service of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service said that the violation of the law was discovered by employees of the operational department of the prison together with representatives of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It turned out that a 37-year-old prisoner, serving a sentence for robbery causing grievous bodily harm, showed other convicts tattoos with symbols of the AUE movement. By decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, it was recognized as an extremist organization whose activities are prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Previously, the man had already been subjected to administrative punishment for this violation (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).

The materials collected by the employees of the GUFSIN and the FSB Directorate were sent to the investigative department for the Minusinsk region of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia. Investigative authorities have opened a criminal case against the convicted person on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 282.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, repeated public display of symbols of extremist organizations», the press service said.

For robbery, the man is serving a sentence of 12 years and 9 months. For displaying prohibited tattoos, the sentence can be increased by another 4 years.
