Winter holidays 2026 after new. There will be a rotational system

Changing the winter holiday schedule is a response to the needs of better distribution of tourist traffic and improving school preparations. Thanks to the new division of voivodships, families planning winter trips will have greater organizational capabilities. The Ministry of Education emphasizes that the rotational system will allow for fair distribution of deadlines in subsequent years.

The ministry has published a detailed division of holidays:
– Tura I (January 19 – February 1) -voivodships: Masovian, Pomorskie, Podlasie, Świętokrzyskie, Warmian-Masurian;
– Tura II (February 2 – February 15) -voivodships: Dolnośląskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Łódź, West Pomeranian, Lesser Poland, Opolskie;
– Tura III (February 16 – March 1) – Voivodships: Podkarpackie, Lubelskie, Wielkopolskie, Lubuskie, Silesia.
The rotational system means that the voivodships ending the holidays as the last in 2026, in the next school year will start them first.

As Onet points out, changes can be particularly important for families planning winter holidays in mountain resorts. It is worth remembering that prices in the tourist season may increase rapidly, so earlier reservations may be crucial.
