As the latest SW Research survey for Onet shows, a significant part of the respondents believe that with the departure of Hołownia the project he created may not survive. At the same time, the results of the study suggest that it may be too early for the final assessments.
The study was conducted from September 30-October 1, 2025 by the interview interview method (CAWI-Computer-Assisted Web Interview) in the SW Panel panel. 824 adult respondents representing the nationwide population test took part in it. The selection of the sample had a quota character and took into account the distribution of sex, age and size of the place of residence of the participants.
Szymon Hołownia, Polish leader 2050, officially announced that he would not apply for re -election for the position of party president. The formation has been noticing poor results for months, and in the latest study it supports it only 2 percent. voters. In addition, according to the coalition agreement, Hołownia will soon transfer the function of the Sejm Marshal to a representative of the left.
Szymon Hołownia has a plan for the coming years
As Onet revealed, after completing his political activity, Hołownia intends to take the prestigious position of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. According to reports, he has been seeking this function for several months, and the president's support will be crucial for him. The Polish leader 2050 confirmed his plans in a letter published on social media, announcing that he could take a new role at the turn of the year.
Who will lead Poland 2050? “I intend to run for the chairman of Poland 2050” – Ryszard Petru announced on Wednesday during a press conference. The day before, the party's vice-leader and minister of climate Paulina Hennig-Kloska also considered the opportunity to participate in the election of the head of the grouping.
Earlier, the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, which the parliamentary club and the National Council of the party, recently indicated as a candidate for deputy prime minister in the government of Donald Tusk, was mentioned as a potential successor to Hołownia. It is not known, however, in what shape Poland 2050 will operate in subsequent years and whether in its current form it will start in the parliamentary elections in 2027.
Is this the end of Poland 2050?
The Poles took the floor in the survey. As part of the SW Research study, the participants were asked: “Do you think Szymon Hołownia's resignation from the Polish management means the collapse of this political project?”
The results of the survey are meaningful. 38.2 percent respondents believe that the departure of Hołownia will lead to the end of his political undertaking. The opposite opinion is 20 percent. respondents who believe that Poland 2050 can survive without their founder.
The largest group of respondents – 41.7 percent However, she chose the answer “hard to say”. This shows that for many Poles the future of Hołownia movement remains open. The final shape of the project will depend on who will take over the party's reins and what idea for its further development will present a new leader.
