The officials of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova announced that, on September 30, they submitted to the Center Court of Appeal a request for a court against the Moldovan Party, stressing that the action comes as a result of a notification from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
“The CEC concluded that, through its actions, the Political Party” Moldova Mare “committed serious violations of the democratic electoral process. According to the information obtained by the law enforcement bodies, the “Moldova Mare” Political Party benefited from external financing from the Russian Federation, through PromsvyazBank – associated with the “Șor” Group. This contravenes the legislation on the financing of parties in the election campaign, which categorically prohibits the external, direct or indirect financing. The established connection between the “Moldova Mare” Political Party, PromsvyazBank and the “Șor” group represent a case of illegal external financing. At the same time, the actions are a threat to the state security and affect the integrity of the electoral process ”mentioned the representatives of the Moldovan structure.
The party reacted

These courts, unfortunately, no longer provide the guarantees provided by Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights and no longer inspire confidence to citizens. Instead of being a pillar of justice, justice has become a political instrument. We will not be intimidated. We will continue to fight for the truth, for justice and to respect the will of the people. ”
The Moldova Mare Party, led by Victoria Furtuna, was eliminated from the parliamentary race on September 28, two days before the poll, the decision being taken by the Chisinau electoral authority.
