Another earthquake in the USA. “Strong secondary shocks may occur”


Although the strength of the shock that took place on Saturday at 22.18 of local time (on Sunday 4.18 Polish time), it was relatively small, it was felt within a radius of about 170 km – up to West Connecticut and the Dolny Hudson Valley.
According to CBS News, no structural damage has been reported so far, but the authorities warn that even stronger secondary shocks may occur in the coming days. They appeal to the inhabitants of all damage, shifts of objects, falling debris or cracks.
The last earthquake took place after a series of small shocks from the epicenter near Morris Plains on July 21 and 22. This region usually experiences weak earthquakes, although the exception was noted 5 2024 with a magnitude 4.8 from the epicenter in Tewksbury, New Jersey. It shook the office buildings in New York and was felt by 42 million people from New Jersey to Maine and Virginia.
