
According to the modeled data, in the first quarter of this year, Ukrainians brought 7.4 billion kroons to the Czech budget (one Czech crown is almost 2 UAH) in the form of contributions and taxes, in the second quarter – another 7.6 billion kroons. In total – 15 billion kroons.
For the same six months, state assistance to refugees from Ukraine in the form of humanitarian assistance, payments for accommodation, healthcare, education and another amounted to 7.6 billion kroons.
In 2022, when refugees from Ukraine began to arrive in the Czech Republic, the costs of them twice the income that they brought. The situation changed in the third quarter of 2023 – then the Ukrainians brought the Czech Republic 4.8 billion kroons at the cost of them of 4.4 billion kroons.
For all the time of a full -scale war in Ukraine, refugees brought the Czech Republic 71.8 billion kroons of income, and the state spent 70.1 billion kroons on them.
According to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy of the Czech Republic, Marian Yurechka, in September 2025, 169 thousand immigrants from Ukraine work in the country under temporary protection. In total, almost 394 thousand Ukrainians received temporary protection.
In June 2025, the Czechs were paid to refugees from Ukraine with a low income of 45.9 thousand humanitarian aids, and a year earlier 49.4 thousand benefits were paid, the publication writes.
