Moscow claims that his army has achieved control over the villages Derîlove and Maiske, in the Donetk region, as well as on Stepove, in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Russian Defense Ministry said that, since the beginning of this year, Russian forces have conquered about 0.8% of the surface of Ukraine.
In parallel, the Ukrainian authorities reported victims in the south, in the Herson region, where one person was killed, and another 12 were injured following a Russian bombardment. In the neighboring Odessa region, the railways were damaged by another Russian attack.
Also on Saturday, Moscow announced that a oil refinery in the Ciuvașia region, in Ural, has suspended its activity after a Ukrainian attack behind the front. Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks through targeted blows on military and energy infrastructure, especially on oil refineries.
Diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, which is approaching the fourth year, have failed so far. In this context, former US president Donald Trump suggested that Ukraine could fully regain its territories occupied by Russia. Moscow reaffirmed, in reply, the intention to continue his military offensive.
