Due to the temporary closure of the airspace, the plane flying from Amsterdam to Aalborg had to turn back to the Netherlands. In turn, a flight from Copenhagen to this city was canceled. The airport began to function normally again around 00.35.

A series of incidents with drones in Denmark. The government is looking for a solution

This is another such incident in recent days in Denmark. On Monday, air traffic had to be closed at the airport in Copenhagen. The reason was the appearance of unidentified drones.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, a series of incidents involving drones disturbed the functioning of as many as four airports in this country: in Aalborg, Esbjerg, Sonderborg and Skrydstrup, where Danish fighters are stationed. The local authorities maintain that these were most likely the work of a “professional perpetrator”.

The government of Denmark is considering a bill that would grant critical infrastructure managers wider rights to neutralize drones. It is to allow them to enable them to respond faster to this type of threat and eliminate unmanned aerial vehicles at an early stage.
