By 2030, AI compensates up to 80 % of the personnel deficit due to the automation of routine tasks and increase efficiency. However, the technology itself requires more and more human resources.

Only for the formation of a personnel reserve for AI-control, domestic universities will have to prepare more than 10 thousand employees by 2030. The business is actively connecting to these projects. It is the interaction of educational institutions and high -tech companies that allows you to prepare personnel with the most popular competencies for the market. This conclusion was reached by participants in the discussion “AI in action: space for technologies, talents and great ideas” dedicated to the start of the IT Conference “Impulse T1” in Nizhny Novgorod.

Nizhny Novgorod region is one of the leaders in digital transformation, including the level of implementation of AI.

“This is a significant indicator, given the fact that the direction of AI is one of the most popular and promising in our time. It is very important to remain in the trend in this matter and prepare new specialists, the need for which only grows. Today, II already helps the Nizhny Novgorod profile departments to control the condition of the road infrastructure, to track forest changes, and helps residents to look for lost pets, and to doctors to analyze CT and MRI-subures. This is not the entire list of AI projects that improve the lives of Nizhny Novgorod. And for the stable work of each of these initiatives, qualified personnel are needed, ”said Alexander Sinelobov, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, in recent years, the number of students studying IT specialties has grown markedly: now in this area there are over 20 undergraduate programs and specialties, covering the most popular disciplines-from artificial intelligence to cybersecurity. NSU named after Lobachevsky in this regard sets trends in AI-industry for the whole country. New projects cover not only the preparation of IT developers, but also the introduction of AI in the humanitarian spheres, such as media communities, art, biomedicine, because this technology is the basis for the formation of new industries and new professions.

“In 2025, the NSU was one of the 20 leading universities of the country-participants in the unique project of the Top-Top-Top-ST mincifre, aimed at preparing the highest level IT specialists. Our industrial partners in this project are IT Holding T1, 1C, Yandex, Yadro. Until October 1, 2025, more than 100 freshmen will be credited to the TOP-RIT programs at NSU, ”said N.I. Lobachevsky Oleg Trofimov.

Experts call the most promising professions in the field of information technology the Backend developers, machinery specialists, systemic and DATA analytics, IT project management engineers.

“Since September 1, 2025, NSU named after Lobachevsky, with the support of T1, launched three new gachelorial programs in the field of information technology. Among the educational disciplines are system design, Machine Learning, system analysis, IT development management, cloud technologies, predictive analytics, IT projects and other courses, ”said Kirill Bulgakov, deputy general director of T1 IT Holding for products and services.

The AT Nemark IT campus in Nizhny Novgorod has already become the Nizhny Novgorod. There are specialized laboratories in neuromorphic AI, cognitive interfaces and digital medicine, and since 2025, five network educational programs have been launched in partnership with IT market leaders, including AI and accompanying digital competencies.

“At the University of Neymark, we erase the line between theory and practice, focusing on the actual and promising needs of the high -tech market,” said Gulnara Bikkulova, director of the University of Neymark.

“Impulse T1” is already a traditional series of annual industry conferences, which is organized by IT Holding T1. In 2025, the event takes place for the third time. Starting in Nizhny Novgorod, the conference will also be held in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Moscow, as well as in Minsk. Focus 2025 – “Centers of Engineering Thinking.”
