A fire broke out on Tuesday evening at a warehouse in Sector 2 of the Capital, in the area of Pantelimon road, said ISU Bucharest-Ilfov. The authorities initially issued a RO-allert message for warning the population, due to large smoke releases, and then one more.
UPDATE 21:15 As a result of intense smoke release, a new Roalert message was issued, within a 2 -kilometer radius, the authorities announced.
“Under the influence of wind gusts, there is a risk that the smoke will enter the nearby homes, in which we ask the tenants to close the doors and windows, and to the traffic participants to facilitate the movement of fire trucks,” said ISU Bucharest-Ilfov.
Initial news: “We intervene to extinguish a fire produced on the roof of a storage space in Sector 2. There are large smoke releases, so a message was issued for informing and warning the population through the RO-Alert system,” said ISU-Ilfov representatives.
“Major fire with large smoke releases produced at the warehouse-Şoș area. Pantelimon. Bypass / avoid the area. Leave the access roads free. Respect the recommendations ordered by the authorities,” writes in the RO-Alert message.
For this intervention, 10 extinguishing vehicles were alerted.
The device has been supplemented with 4 special vehicles to provide the water requirement, with the special rescue detachment, as well as a vehicle with robots.
The hall has a refrigeration destination, with other annexes attached to it. The firefighters are currently acting for the localization of the fire, the representatives of ISU Bucharest-Ilfov also transmitted.
