A collision between two passenger aircraft was avoided at the limit on Sunday evening at the airport in the French city of Nice, AFP told the Bureau of Investigation and Analysis of Civil Aviation Safety (Bea) in France, Agerpres reports.

Shortly after 11:30 pm, an Airbus A320 aircraft of Nouvel Air, landing at Nice airport, was forced to carry out the landing maneuver to avoid collision with a plane of the same type Easyjet that is already on the track.

According to the preliminary data of the investigation, the plane of Nouvel Air came to land on a wrong track. Nice airport has two parallel tracks, located very close to each other.

The French Bureau of Investigation ordered the immobilization of both aircraft in order to recover the black boxes for the exact establishment of the circumstances of this “serious incident”, and the pilots of the two aircraft and air traffic controllers are also heard.
