In an interview given to a Moldovan journalist, the president of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (Gold), George Simion, said that the formation leads to the Unionist parties in the Republic of Moldova, those who advocate for the Union with Romania.
George Simion harshly criticized the way in which the Chisinau authorities managed the electoral process, claiming that, at the order of President Maia Sandu, the Unionist formations were excluded or censored.
“We encouraged all the Unionist formations. I encourage vote for the Unionist parties in Chisinau, that is, not Ceban, not Dodon, not Moldova Mare, not Usatîi, which represents an eastern orientation of the Republic of Moldova,” said the golden leader.
In his opinion, Maia Sandu and the parties associated with the pro-European but non-union orientation blocked the access of the unionists in elections.
“Not Maia Sandu on this pro-European, but non-union core, who cleaned everything, no one to register, no one on the ballot, which is dangerous, because she will not have an alliance with George Simion stressed, stressing that the lack of unionist parties on the ballot creates a political imbalance in the Republic of Moldova and weakens the representation of those who support the idea of uniting with Romania.
