Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces Release Interactive Resistance Map

Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) have launched an interactive map titled “Map of Resistance,” which highlights both active and non-violent forms of resistance against Russian occupiers across occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine. One notable incident featured is that of Crimean activist Bohdan Ziza, who in May 2022, painted the doors of the occupying administration in Yevpatoria blue and yellow.
The map allows users to select different regions and view details about specific resistance events. Additionally, a dedicated section focuses on military operations conducted by Ukrainian defense forces in occupied Crimea. The SSO emphasized that the published information does not encompass all resistance activities; much of the underground movement remains undisclosed to protect participants and their families from potential threats.
Consequently, the “Map of Resistance” provides a glimpse into only part of the Ukrainian resistance in occupied areas that can currently be made public.
