Economist Kusch has predicted that the dollar could reach 50 UAH by the end of the year, with a worst-case scenario suggesting it might rise to as high as 80 UAH. He stated, “Everything will depend on the volumes of Western financial assistance. If funding remains stable, the exchange rate may stabilize around 46 to 48 UAH. However, if aid is insufficient, the rate could shift to 48 to 50 UAH.” He warned that a complete halt in external support could lead to significant depreciation of the hryvnia. In discussions regarding potential ceasefires, Kusch also indicated that the exchange rate could escalate to 80 UAH in such circumstances.
