He believed he was traveling to meet a real person, but upon arrival, he found out that she was actually an AI character. This digital persona had amassed over 300,000 followers on social media, where she shared content about living on a large farm and seeking a partner whom she claimed she could fully support.
The man, having spent all his money in pursuit of this virtual relationship, found himself in a dire situation, without funds to return home. Fortunately, he was able to get assistance from the consulate to facilitate his return journey.
