Antonio Raimondo made a significant impact in the Serie A as he scored a stunning hat trick, helping Frosinone secure a 4-2 victory against Sassuolo in the opening match of round seven. His impressive performance brought his season tally to 7 goals, allowing him to temporarily take the lead in the Serie A scoring chart, surpassing Malen, who has netted 6 times.
Meanwhile, Daniel Bîrligea, who returned from injury, had a brief appearance in the match, coming on in the 90th minute without making a notable impact. The Romanian international has yet to score in his three Serie A appearances this season.
Raimondo’s recent achievement places him among an elite group of players in Europe, as he is one of the few who have recorded at least three matches with double-digit goals this season, according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio. He joins the ranks of Barcelona stars Lamine Yamal and Raphinha in this exclusive category.
Frosinone has emerged as a surprise team this Serie A season, currently sitting fifth in the standings with 13 points, just three behind league leaders Inter.
