Ihor Terekhov Advocates for Ukrainian Communities in EU

Ihor Terekhov, the head of the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities, has called on the European Union to establish dedicated support mechanisms for Ukraine. In his column for Euronews, Terekhov emphasized the urgent need for instruments such as war risk insurance and accessible business financing. He stated, “Without energy, businesses come to a halt. Without jobs, poverty increases. When there are no prospects, people leave. Losing residents makes rebuilding cities more challenging than repairing any structure. Our goal is not merely to survive another winter; it is to keep our cities alive with people, functioning businesses, trusted institutions, and a future in Europe.”
