Russia Launches Massive Missile Strikes on Ukraine, Casualties Confirmed

In a significant escalation, Russian forces carried out extensive missile strikes across Ukraine, with notable attacks reported in Kremenchuk and other regions. The bombardments have led to damage to residential buildings and casualties among civilians.
Local authorities confirmed the destruction of multiple apartment buildings in Kremenchuk, prompting emergency services to respond promptly. Reports regarding the number of injured individuals are still being verified.
Additionally, one strike targeted an industrial facility in the Kremenchuk district. Disturbing footage shared by local journalist Djakivnych illustrated the extent of the devastation, emphasizing the human toll behind each attack.
“People invest years into building and maintaining their homes, only to have them destroyed by a single missile or drone,” he stated, highlighting the psychological warfare employed by the aggressor to instill fear among civilians.
As night fell, attacks continued in other areas, including Kyiv, where two fatalities were reported in the Darnytskyi district due to enemy shelling. In the Podil district, a fire broke out, causing structural damage to an office and warehouse building, as reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
In Priluki, Chernihiv region, civilian and municipal infrastructure sustained damage, according to the local city council. The head of Chernihiv’s military administration, Viacheslav Chaus, reported that a missile hit a residential high-rise building in the early morning hours while residents were still asleep, with confirmed casualties emerging as rescue operations continued.
Meanwhile, in Kirovohrad region, Governor Andrii Raikovych announced a strike on a local industrial site, resulting in injuries. In Oleksandriya, a woman was killed and three others injured during the morning attacks, with two victims currently uncontactable.
In Dnipro, regional head Serhiy Hanzha also reported a strike on an industrial facility, while Mikhail Semikin, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, confirmed an attack on transport infrastructure.
These strikes coincide with information prior to the attacks, in which President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted intelligence reports projecting a potential increase in Russian military action, including plans for a large-scale assault utilizing up to 1,000 missiles and drones, aimed at crippling Ukraine’s infrastructure this winter.
