Limited Number of Russian Radio Repeaters Activating in Kyiv, Expert Warns

Limited number of Russian radio repeaters

According to defense analyst Beskrestnov, there are likely only one to three Russian radio repeaters active in Kyiv, making them difficult to locate. He asserted that throughout the course of the war, he has never been wrong in his technical assessments and predictions about the enemy’s capabilities, insisting that these repeaters are operational in the Ukrainian capital.

Flash emphasized the urgency of locating these repeaters, stating, “Such repeaters are hard to find, but they must be searched for. As long as they exist, shutting down the city with electronic warfare will not be effective.”

As evidence, he referenced a targeted strike against the Security Service of Ukraine, highlighting that no other Shahed repeaters were in the sky at the time of the attack.

He also analyzed previous strikes on bridges in Kyiv, exploring the potential for organizing long-range radio communication channels from Russia during those moments. He noted that enemy channels are currently discussing photos of air defense systems on the bridges due to the impossibility of obscuring the presence of systems like Gepard on heavily trafficked infrastructure.

Flash concluded, stating, “While online control of Shahed exists, not only bridges but also air defense systems will be under threat.” He added that without stable online control up to the moment of an attack, hitting the supports or cables of a bridge accurately is impossible, expressing a wish that he would be wrong in his assessment of the repeaters.

He further reported that all debris is being meticulously examined, confirming that no other ‘secret’ communication systems, such as LTE, ‘Rassvet’, or any extraterrestrial quantum modems, have been found.

Context

  • A work regime for the bridges in Kyiv has been established.
  • On the morning of October 3, Russia attacked the Northern Bridge in Kyiv.
