Polish food manufacturer Maspex is set to invest €870,000 in its facility located in Prahova, Romania. Half of this funding will come from European sources.
Maspex, known for brands including Tymbark, Tedi, Bucovina, La Festa, Salatini, and Purcari, has received approval for a project worth approximately €870,000, co-financed by European funds.
According to reports from Economica, Maspex Romania is among 48 companies selected for funding aimed at investing in the processing and trading of agricultural products for food and processed goods production.
The planned investment of around €867,600 aims to diversify production at the plant in Vălenii de Munte, where it already produces juices (Tymbark, Tedi, Ciao), instant products (La Festa), sweet and savory snacks (Salatini, Rollini d’Oro), and pasta (Arnos), among other food items. This amount includes approximately €564,000 from public funds, with around €479,400 sourced from EFRROW funds.
Maspex also operates another facility in Vatra Dornei, where Bucovina water is bottled, along with plants in Timișoara and Giurgiu. Recently, the company acquired the winery producer Purcari.
Maspex Romania is part of the Maspex Group, the largest private company in the Polish food industry and one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe, boasting over 30 years of experience in the sector. The group’s products are distributed in over 60 countries.
